Are you ready for some McNeese State University football in Lake Charles? The 2023 college football season is finally here, along with the annual Friday Night Cowboy Block Party, presented by the McNeese Athletic Foundation. Back by popular demand for the third year in a row, the Block Party will feature live DJ, bands, food, and plenty of tailgate fun to prepare you for some gridiron action in Cowboy Stadium.

The MSU Block Party will occur at every home game at the Robert Noland Alumni Pavilion (The Grove.) Enjoy the sounds of a different band at each Block Party event from 7-9 pp.m To keep the party lit, DJ Sparrow will be in the DJ booth on the 1s & 2s from 9:15 to 10:45 p.m.

Don't miss the with the Pokes! This year there'll be five Block Parties to coincide with each MSU home game. Best of all, this is a free event, and parking is free as well. Cowboy fans can bring their own food or purchase some goodies at the food trucks that will be on site.

Free admission and free parking for all who attend, and outside food and drinks will be permitted. Food trucks will also be on site. McNeese Director of Athletics Heath Schroyer said of this event,

"I'm really excited to bring back our Friday Night Block Parties again this year." He added. "I'm really excited to bring back our Friday Night Block Parties again this year."

 

Every year we try to make the block parties bigger and better, and no doubt, we did it this year. Our lineup is off the charts, and with DJ Sparrow closing each Friday, it will be the party of the year each and every (home football) Friday in The Grove."
