MLK Holiday: Garbage, Trash, & Recycling Collection Rescheduled

Lake Charles, La. — There will be no trash or garbage pickup on Monday, January 16, in Lake Charles, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

Pickup for Monday will be rescheduled for Tuesday, January 17, and the regular schedule for Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday, January 18. Routes for Thursday and Friday will remain as regularly scheduled, said a City of Lake Charles press release.

All Department of Public Works services, and recycling operations at Nelson Ball Field/Alma Ln, Wood Waste Facility, and the Roving Green Truck, will be closed on Monday, January 16. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, January 17.
