4th of July Holiday Garbage, Trash, & Recycling Schedule

The 4th of July holiday in the City of Lake Charles will be observed on Thursday, July 4. City Hall will close that day as well, and reopen on Friday, July 5.

Trash and garbage normally picked up on Thursday will be rescheduled for pickup on Friday, July 5 while pickups normally scheduled for Friday will be rescheduled on Saturday, July 6. Monday and Tuesday routes remain as regularly scheduled.

All other services of the Department of Public Works and other City Departments, including all Recycling Operations (Nelson Ball Field/Alma Ln, Wood Waste Facility, and Roving Green Truck) will be closed on Thursday, July 4, but will resume regular hours of operation on Friday, July 5.

As a reminder, containers and other items for removal shall be placed before the hour of 7:00 am on collection day or on the evening proceeding collection day. Containers shall be removed no later than 7:00 pm on the day of collection. The owner, occupant, tenant, etc., is responsible for collecting any spillage from the container.
