Moss Bluff Man Loses The Love Of His Life The Day After Their Sons Birth
When friends and family checked Facebook for an update on the birth of Jean Luc Montou's healthy baby boy no one expected the heartbreaking news that followed. According to KPLC, just 24 hours after the birth of Julian Charles Montou the love of Jean Luc's life, Sarah Bertrand, passed away due to a complication that occurred during labor.
Jean Luc Montou's post has been shared over 25,000 times worldwide and has touched the hearts of everyone who hears his story.
Sarah Bertrand didn't make it. Baby Julian Charles Montou was born at 4:31 p.m. yesterday and this was at about 3:30 - 4 a.m. that day when she was first going into labor. Sarah was the absolute love of my life. She looked after Jane like she was her own and nothing else. She treated me better than I've ever been treated in my life by any other woman. She was an angel and the mother of my only son. The doctors tell me that she had a pulmonary embolism from a blood clot that must have formed during labor. It just happened. She was fine all day and all night before. My last 24 hours with her was the happiest I'd ever been. I'm not sure why, but I've never been allowed to be past a certain point of happiness. I loved this woman like no other and she died in front of me while I held our son.
Jean Luc continues to post his journey on Facebook sharing a photo of his daughter, Jane, feeding baby Julian with the caption "My world right now. Holding me together".
The Moss Bluff resident has been surrounded by love from his community, and all of South Louisiana, and a GoFundMe account has been set up to help the Montou family during this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jean Luc, Jane, Julian, the entire Montou family and anyone who was touched by Sarah Bertrands love and friendship.
