Movies Under The Stars Friday October 16

Now through October 30 don't miss "Movies Under The Stars." Bring your favorite blankets and chairs, then look forward to a fun filled night. This is a free event , so make sure you come early so you can map out the ideal spot to watch the movie with your family. Also the movie will play at night fall or 7 p.m. which ever comes first.See future movie schedules below, including the locations being shown in October. October 16th - Rio 2 (G) (shown at Mallard Junction Park, formerly Opelousas Street Park) - Blu and his family head to the wild in Rio D Janeiro Amazon. It's in the jungle that they discover, their not the last Blue Macaw's on earth. As Blu struggles to please his newly found father-in-law, he and his friends try an orchestrate a musical and encounter danger on every turn in “Rio 2.”

October 23rd - The Boxtrolls (PG) (Prien Lake Park) - What’s more fun than a troll under a bridge? A troll in a box! In this precious story an orphan boy raised by trolls below the city of London. He is forced to come above ground and save his family when a human decides all trolls need to exterminatedin the Oscar nominated film “The Boxtrolls.”

October 30th - Hotel Transylvania (PG)(Prien Lake Park) - Bring your cameras! Trashsquatch will be at the park taking pictures. Trashsquatch is the litter ambassador for the Calcasieu Parish Litter Program. Then get ready for everyone's favorite monsters in “Hotel Transylvania.” An over-protective Count can stand the thought of his daughter growing-up. Then Drac goes into panic mode when a human stumbles into his hotel and falls in love with his baby girl.

"Movies Under The Stars" is the perfect way to spend some quality family time. Plus the park is the perfect setting. This event is free, however their will be various snacks and popcorn for sale. Of course your also welcome to bring your own goodies.
