Movies Under The Stars Returns To Lake Charles

Good news SWLA! Movies Under The Stars will return in Lake Charles beginning July 9, 2021. The Calcasieu Parrish Police Jury (CPPJ) is proud to announce the local annual family event will be back at Prien Lake Park, starting with this weekend on July 9 at sundown.

Please note, movies will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Cancellation announcements will be made via CPPJ website calcasieuparish.gov and on their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages when possible. Below is the scheduled showings for every Friday in July:

Friday, July 16, Yogi Bear

Friday, July 23, Rango

Friday, July 30, Jungle Book (2016)

Arrive early to get a good spot on the grass in front of the screen. Residents are encouraged to bring along blankets, lawn chairs and maybe even dinner or snacks. Refreshments, food, candy and popcorn will be sold at every event as well!
