
Open Registration for July Summer Camps In Lake Charles
Calling all young artists in Lake Charles and the surrounding area—Branch Out Kids Summer Art Camp is back, and registration is officially open! Designed for students who have completed kindergarten through 8th grade. This unique camp experience combines hands-on learning, personal expression, and even a gallery exhibition.
Campers can choose one week per theme—or just attend the one that speaks to their creative soul. Each theme offers morning, afternoon, or full-day sessions, depending on the week, with limited class sizes of only 12 students to ensure every artist gets focused instruction.
The June & July sessions and theme is as follows:
In Shipwrecked on Sallier - Young artists will dive into local maritime history and create pieces inspired by a real sunken ship. This theme is offered with morning sessions from 9:00 –11:30 AM.

The camp’s curriculum includes drawing, painting, ceramics, shape & form, papercraft, and color theory. At the end of the season, all campers will be featured in a public art exhibit at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum, running July 31 through August 9.
Pricing per week is $150 for non-members and $127.50 for museum members (half day), or $325 and $276.25 respectively for full-day camps. Spaces are limited and sessions are expected to fill quickly.
