Mystikal Is Cleared Of Charges

Rapper Mystikal was one of the biggest artist to come out of the south back in the nineties. I remember when he signed to No Limit, it propelled him to another level and everyone knew his lyrics word fot word.

Unfortunately, with the highs come the lows, and he has some legal woes that stopped his progress for about five years. I remember interviewing him when he was first released and he was just getting familiar with using the camera on his cell phone. He got back out there and started making more music and was touring a little, as well.

Then, another snag hit and some more legal troubles ensued. A grand jury in Caddo Parish indicted him on one count each of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping. Fast forward and a second jury reconsidered the case. There was additional evidence and information discovered and submitted in the interest of justice. With this, the Caddo Parrish district attorney dismissed the charges pending against him. This is good news to hear and hopefully this will open the window of opportunities again musically.
