The Breakers were looking to bounce back from a heartbreaking loss two weeks ago to the Birmingham Stallions. The Gamblers were also in need of a big win this last weekend as they fell by one point two weeks ago to the Tampa Bay Bandits by the score of 27-26.

With the win against Houston, New Orleans improves to 3-1 on the season. There are many things that I've noticed about the Breakers that set them apart from other teams in the USFL. First, they had an amazing draft, so their administration are great evaluators of talent. Secondly, they are well-coached. Head Coach Larry Fedora is a career college coach that has made the leap to professional football seamlessly. He's coached at big universities like Flordia, Texas, Baylor, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Air Force, and many more.

New Orleans beat Houston 23-16 last Sunday.

The Breakers dominated the Gamblers in the air and on the ground. Starting QB Kyle Sloter passed for 397 years and threw a touchdown. Newly starting running back Jordan Ellis averaged 5.5 years a carry and ran for 104 yards on the ground plus scoring a touchdown.

Former starting running back T.J. Logan, who had 4.3 speed, was recently released because of injury. Hopefully, the team will resign him when he becomes game ready. Logan brought something to the table that gives defenses nightmares before the game, speed.

The Breakers' defense was stingy only allowing 127 passing years and 28 rushing yards by the Gamblers.
