UPDATE: Oberlin Schools Closed This Morning After Dead Body Found on Property

UPDATE: The man who committed suicide was a parent of an Oberlin student, according to Allen Parish officials. The man died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

ORIGINAL: All schools in Oberlin -- both the high school and elementary school -- are closed today after Allen Parish officials say a dead body was found on school property this morning.

Sheriff Doug Hebert told KPLC-TV that the body was discovered by a maintenance worker this morning. The body was that of an older man found under the main awning of the school. It is believed the man committed suicide.
