High School Serves Fried Chicken, Cornbread, & Watermelon

A Northern California school for girls had to issue an apology to students and parents for a lunch menu that featured fried chicken, cornbread, and watermelon as a way to celebrate Black History Month.

According to reports, students wanted to come up with a creative way to celebrate Black History Month with a lunchtime celebration. Of course parents were outraged and offended by what was on the menu.
