Plus Size Model and Former American Idol Contestant Joanne Borgella Dies Of Cancer [VIDEO]

Ironically over the weekend some of the Townsquare Media staff and myself participated in the Ethel Precht 5K Cancer walk. I have participated for the past 3 years in memory of my grandmother and former co worker and friend Jolyn Slate. This is a big event that we love to participate in and bring about the awareness of this disease, unfortunately the world lost someone over the weekend to the disease.

Plus size model and singer Joanne Borgella died from endometrial cancer after being diagnosed with it over a year ago. She appeared on Monique's Fat Chance and also was on season 8 of 'American Idol'. She was only 32 years old, but shared her journey on her instagram and facebook pages for everyone to see. Cancer is truly taking away alot of our loved ones and really puts a damper on things when you think about the fight that she put up.
