According to TheBoomBox, New York's Bomb Squad was called out to Jay Z‘s 40/40 Club in New York City.  Apparently a suspicious object was discovered just outside the venue in a phone booth early this morning (Oct. 21st).

A NYPD rep told the New York Daily News they considered the device to be an explosive, as it had “a flashing light with wires attached to two pieces of wood.”  Slam magazine editor, Tzvi Twersky, posted a pic of this mornings scene on Twitter.

Finally, AllHipHop reports there's a good possibility that running back Ray Rice will be able to play in the NFL again.  As you know, Ray Rice was suspended indefinitely after brutally punching his, now wife, Janay Rice in the face in a Atlantic City casino elevator. Does Ray Rice have a case?  Is it possible for him to be reinstated?

According to CBSSports.com, a date for Rice’s appeal hearing  has been set and a final decision will be decided after that.  Learn even more now inside Tha Wire, plus find out what celebs are celebrating birthdays today.
