There are not many artist who have a legend that very few can even be close to. There are not many artist especially rappers who you can put in the same sentence as this guy Rakim. I remember the first time I saw the I Ain't No Joke video, I was hooked. He had the smoothest delivery and took control of the song.

Rakim along with his partner Eric B had the New York scene on point from the beginning of their career until their untimely split. There was a time where Rakim was also suppose to be linking up with Dr. Dre and The Aftermath, that never happened unfortunately. Well here he is alive and better then ever and calling on other artist to speak out on Police Brutality and also speaks on stereotypes in the entertainment field.

Rakim gave some very viable points and there is no way that you can't agree. Rakim came out during a time where there was not alot of great contracts for artist. While they had jewelry, they didn't reference it so much on their songs and it was all about lyrics unlike alot of todays artist.
