On Monday, I got the news from Gina Cook that our friend and former co-worker, Craig Ryan had passed. I have known Craig since I've been in Lake Charles. I gave him a weekend shift on V-107.5 back in 2002, and he worked with me for two years. I used to call him Craig Boogie, as he controlled the crowd on the radio Friday and Saturday nights.

After his time with us here, we would always keep in touch and grab lunch or just talk music on the phone. There wasn't an event or party he would miss, and we all knew how proud he was to be a part of the Infamous Omega Psi Phi. When Craig entered the room, he commanded attention and was recognized by many for his great community efforts and willingness to help anyone.

I still can't believe he is no longer physically here with us, but I know he would want the party to continue. We have some work to do here in Lake Charles, and I know that if Craig were here, he'd be assisting with cleanup efforts and doing whatever to help the city rebuild and get back to where we were.

You will be missed Craig, and I appreciate you looking out for me, as I have countless stories to tell. I'll just hold on to those memories and think about the selfless man you were and all the fun times that we head. Rest In Power, Craig "Boogie" Ryan.
