Today is the twenty-fourth anniversary of the death of one of the greatest to ever do it. The Notorious B.I.G. was killed in Los Angeles on this date in 1997. I remember waking up the following morning on a Sunday and hearing a radio station talking about his death. This was before social media, but word had spread fast and the world was hurt.

I also remember going to check out a movie called Rhyme and Reason, and there was a clip of B.I.G talking about the change in people once they reach fame. It was a very eerie feeling watching that, knowing he had just been killed. The music game truly has not been the same since his passing, but his memory still lives on to this day.

Today at 5:00pm, we will be in the mix with Fleet DJ Butter shutting the party down and showing love to Mr. Biggie Smalls as we remember him for the being the lyrical giant he was.

Make sure you tune in today at 5:00pm as we remember the original Big Poppa.
