Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Banned from Flights Globally Due to Fire Hazard
If you have a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and plan on catching a flight soon, leave it at home or face a hefty fine if you’re caught with one.
Accordion to WSHH, after various reports of Samsung’s latest phone catching fire, on Friday, Oct. 14, Transport Canada and the U.S. Department of Transportation both issued an emergency ban on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 from all airline flights. No one is allowed to bring the defective phone onto a flight, including passengers and flight crew. Not only are the phones not allowed on board, but they are also not allowed to be packed into checked bags, nor shipped as air cargo.
Since the ban in both countries, airlines around the globe have joined the list in banning the phone from flights, including airlines in Australia, Japan, Singapore, and more, said IndianExpress.com.
