Sheriff’s Office Searching for Vehicle Burglary & Theft Suspect
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for the identity of a vehicle burglary and theft suspect who attempted to use stolen cards at a local grocery store back in October.
According to a media release from Kim Myers, on October 31, a CPSO deputy was dispatched to a home on North Michael Square in Moss Bluff, where the deputy learned that on Tuesday, October 29, sometime during the night, an unknown man gained access to the complainants car and stole two bank cards and a pair of sunglasses. The victim also told the deputy the suspect tried to use the stolen cards at a grocery store on Highway 14 in Lake Charles the day after the burglary.
After reviewing surveillance footage from the home, the deputy observed an unknown man open the victim's unlocked car and enter. The suspect was then seen leaving the scene in what looks like a newer models green Kia Soul.
Anyone with information regarding the theft or who can identify the suspect in the photo is asked to contact CPSO at 491.3605.
