Flashback Friday: Snoop Dogg Discusses East Coast vs West Coast, and Conflict with Tupac in a 2013 Interview
The Tupac biopic “All Eyes on Me” has been getting mixed reviews lately with 50 Cent, T.I., The Game, Scarface, Jada Pinkett Smith, and others giving their thoughts about it. The films credibility and authenticity has certainly become the center of conversation, with some giving it a thumbs up, and others giving it a thumbs down.
Sway in the Morning reposted a 2013 interview with Snoop Dogg where he discussed the conflict between him and Pac that was depicted in "All Eyes on Me.” An incident took place the night before the slain rapper was shot on the Las Vegas strip, of which days later he died from the gunshot wounds he sustained. Snoop would never get the chance to resolve his differences with his “2 of America's Most Wanted” partner.
If you’ve never heard Snoops side of the story in terms of the "East Coast vs West Coast” conflict, check out the full interview above. He also discusses what really went down the night Suge Knight dissed Puff Daddy (Diddy) on stage at the 1995 Source Awards in New York, as well as his friendship with Biggie, and much more. Sway even tells some story of his own, considering he’s been around for much of what hip-hop has become since the 90’s.
