The City of Lake Charles will host it's latest Teen Connection session for local teenagers, ages 13 to 18, on Thursday, October 17, from 5:00pm – 6:00pm, at the Cpl Donald Ray Stevens Center, formerly Goosport Recreation, located at 1619 Cessford St. This weeks topic will be ACT Math Prep.

With the ACT October national testing date around the corner, this free session is the perfect opportunity for your teen to brush up on their test-taking skills and gain some helpful tips for putting their best foot forward on the math portion of this college-admittance exam.

"Teen Connection” is designed to help teenagers learn job skills, college prep, social media, interview skills, and ACT prep among others. The classes are instructed by educators, government officials, and business leaders in the community.

According to a media release, there are additional topics scheduled for the fall semester including the Skill to Heal: Careers in Healthcare, The Elite Athlete’s Secret to Achievement, Performance, and Recruitment, Simple Strategies to Improve your Writing Skills and How to Choose a College Major.

In October 2017, the City of Lake Charles began hosting the free Teen Connection seminars for teenagers, 13 to 18 years old, in Calcasieu Parish. Teen Connection is designed to help teenagers learn job skills, college prep, social media, interview skills, and ACT prep among others.
