The 9th Annual Second Harvest Thanksgiving and Holiday Meals For Seniors event is just around the corner. Tuesday, November 17 from 11:00am - 1:30pm, seniors in the community can drive through and pick up a delicious Thanksgiving meal at the Lake Charles Civic Center. This wonderful event is being hosted by Peoples Health, Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana, and Calcasieu Council On Aging.

The annual event provides more than 6,000 Thanksgiving and holiday meals for seniors in need. The meals are prepared at Second Harvest Community Kitchen and distributed to locations across the state, in the New Orleans area, as well as the bayou region, Lafayette, Lake Charles, and more. Food is free and in following COVID-19 protocols, will be safely given away in drive-thru only.
