I'm Dedicating My Return To the Airwaves To My Mother

Today, I am returning on the air. This will be my first show in over two weeks. I want to personally thank Melz on The M-I-C for filling in for me and my Townsquare Media family for the outpouring of support. My world shifted on January 17, as I lost my mother. While I am still processing this, I have a smile when I think about how much she supported my career. This is why today's show and every show on out will be dedicated to my mom.

I have so many vivid memories of our conversations and the countless times she has been there for me. I know my life has officially changed and my weekly calls to her will have to be filled with something else. But I have missed all of you, the listeners, and I am ready to get back in the saddle.

One thing this has shown me is that you should make sure to tell your parents, siblings, or close friends how much you love them. I am truly at peace, as I had the opportunity to spend time with her before she passed, and I was able to let her know how much she was loved by all of us. So if you get the chance to tune in today, make sure to check me out at 2:00pm. It will be a little different for me, but you all will have the same Erik Tee. I can now say that I have a personal Guardian Angel, and I am anticipating what she has in store for me.
