The USA Network is looking into a potential series about Tupac Shakur's murder. The network has ordered a pilot called Unsolved, a scripted story about the two police investigations into the murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series is based on the information of former LAPD detective Greg Kading, who led multiple task forces investigating the murders. Kading would later publish a book called Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations, which detailed his findings. The former detective is consulting on the pilot's script and will serve as an executive producer.

Kading has implicated Puff Daddy in the murder of Tupac. The detective concluded that Diddy hired Crips gang member Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis to murder Tupac and Suge Knight for a bounty of $1 million. Kading said that Davis’ nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, was the one who actually shot and killed Tupac though. Kading also asserted that Suge Knight hired Bloods gang member Wardell “Poochie” Harris to kill the Notorious B.I.G. in retaliation.

Anthony Hemingway, who is best known for his work on The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, is set to direct Unsolved. The director will also be an executive producer through his Hemingway | Taylor production company. Kyle Long, a story editor for the USA series Suits, will pen the pilot's script.
