Webbie’s Girlfriend Won’t Have to Pay for Damages at Hotel
On July 5, 2017, rapper Webbie was arrested after an altercation with his girlfriend at a Baton Rouge hotel where he reportedly beat and choked her for over 2 hours.
The rapper had allegedly gone on a two-day drug binge of cocaine and marijuana leading up to the violent incident where his girlfriend was left with several cuts and bruises.
According to TMZ, the woman won't have to pay for the bloody damages to the hotel room, because the hotel (Comfort Inn) decided to "cut her a break." There were reportedly "blood-soaked blankets, 2 broken chairs, and more," which resulted in $400 worth of damage to the room that was booked under her name. After charging the woman a fee of $50, the hotel waived it and returned her money after hearing about what took place. Her cell phone she left behind was also found and returned.
Webbie is currently waiting for arraignment and still facing charges of "aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree battery, domestic abuse by strangulation, false imprisonment, theft and simple criminal damage to property," and all are considered felonies if convicted.
