Winter Drive to Collect Items for the Homeless

The Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Continuum of Care is joining forces with the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s Human Services Department to collect much needed items and supplies for the homeless in our area. Pretty much anything needed to make living easier is needed.

Donations are being excepted now through November 10 at the locations listed below:

Items needed are clothes, personal hygiene and various other items like coats, blankets. Things as simple as cough drops are also welcome. All items will be distributed at the Human Services Utility Assistance Liheap office, located at 2000 Moeling Street in Lake Charles, Monday and Tuesday, November 16th – 17th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.
