Anthony Hamilton Arrested For DUI — Tha Wire [VIDEO]

R&B’s beloved son Anthony Hamilton was arrested for DWI early Sunday morning in North Carolina.  Get the details now.

This is obviously a very rare situation for the R&B singer.  We've all been in a situation were we've had a little to much to drink.  However, we all know we shouldn't be driving.  My man Anthony Hamilton got caught doing just that over the weekend.  TMZ is reporting that the 42-year-old was pulled over by police around 2:30 A.M. in Mecklenburg County, N.C., for speeding.  The officer observed that Hamilton was intoxicated and arrested him for driving while impaired.

Meanwhile in other news, the back-and-forth between Robin Thicke and the family of the late Marvin Gaye over the song “Blurred Lines” is heating up.  Billboard is reporting that prior to Thicke filing a preemptive lawsuit, he offered the Gaye family a six figure settlement, but the offer was rejected.

In a move to protect themselves against a major legal battle Thicke, Pharrell Williams and T.I., filed a lawsuit asking a U.S. District Court judge to clear them of any possibility of being sued by the Gayes for copyright infringement over the sampling of “Got To Give It Up”.

Finally, yesterday was a big day for Wiz Khalifa as he hosted an event with Converse to celebrate his new collection with the brand.  Wiz was at Converse Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn and officially unveiled the “Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Wiz Khalifa” collection.

FYI the line features 12 new styles that were created by the rapper and the design team at Converse.  Wiz said of his new collection, “The sneakers in my collection are dope and I’m excited to share them with my fans.”
