Fugitive Suspected in Death of Nassau Police Sgt. Arrested in TX

According to KHOU, Tavores Dewayne Henderson was arrested on Thursday afternoon following a Crime Stoppers tip. Henderson is charged with capital murder in connection to the death of Nassau Bay Police Sgt. Kaila Sullivan that occurred on Tuesday.

A representative from the Harris County Sheriff's Office told the news site they arrested Henderson at the home of what they believe to be is his girlfriends. His mother and her boyfriend may also face charges for hindering his apprehension.

Tavores Henderson, 21, is a suspect in the death of Nasasu Bay Police Sgt. Kaila Sullivan. Authorities suggest he may be headed to Louisiana. Henderson is facing a charge of felony murder in connection to the death of a Houston-area police officer.

According to reports, an alert was issued Wednesday, December 11, after Henderson was last seen in Missouri City, Texas. He may be traveling to Louisiana in a red Buick with a Texas license plate, and a busted rear window.

Nassau Bay Police Sgt. Kaila Sullivan, 43, was killed in the line of duty on Tuesday, December 10, when she was struck by a vehicle while assisting with an arrest.

Henderson's vehicle was found sometime later, abandoned.
