
Three Arrested for Armed Robbery
Officers with the Lake Charles Police Department responded to a weapons complaint in the 600 block of Sally Mae Street on Thursday, August 29, at approximately 10:17 am. According to a media release, the caller said the suspects were shooting from a white Chevy Tahoe.
Officers located the Tahoe upon arriving in the area and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle a person approached officers and told them he had been robbed by the subjects in the Tahoe at gunpoint. After a search of the vehicle officers then recovered a weapon and the items taken from the victim during the robbery.
Though the robbery did take place, there's currently "no indication that a weapon was fired," said the media release.
Armed Robbery Suspects 8-30-19
Rex Allison Jr., 37, 5859 Tom Hebert Road #16, Lake Charles, is charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and misrepresentation during book in.
Shawn Andrew Simien, 29, 842 Jacox Ln., Lake Charles, is charged with armed robbery, armed robbery with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Brian Keith Robinson, 29, 800 Lincoln St., Lake Charles, is charged with armed robbery.
No bond has been set at this time for any of the three men.
