Today in Tha Wire, I'm proud to say Hip Hop is continuing to do BIG things for others. Speaking of which, Big Sean recently gave $10,000 of his own money to help the people of Flint, Michigan during their water crisis.  AllHipHop reports Sean has joined forces with an organization called CrowdRise to create the #HealFintKids Fundraiser.

Sean's hometown of Detroit is only an hour away from Flint, so this disaster is really close to home him.  The rapper explained why he moved to get involved saying:

“I am devastated by the water crisis that has put the entire city of Flint in a state of emergency. In recognizing the great work that the Community Foundation of Greater Flint Michigan has been doing, it is my hope we can help by raising the money needed to ensure that the children who have been hit the hardest receive the care that they need today and well into the future.”

If want to help, get more details at CrowdRise.  Big ups to Sean for stepping up!
