Next year September 13th will mark the 20th anniversary of rap legend Tupac Shakur's death.  As we all know Pac was shot at a red light shorty after leaving a Mike Tyson fight in Vegas on September 7, 1996.  The rap icon survived for six days at University Hospital, before dying September 13 from internal bleeding and his wounds.  Since his death TheBoomBox reports there's been news of various biopics about his life being produced, but none have materialized.

Boyz In The Hood director John Singleton had his own Tupac biopic in the works, but pulled out and explained why on Instagram saying, "because the people involved aren't really respectful of the legacy of Tupac Amaru Shakur."  He didn't abandon his idea totally and is also currently working on another biopic.  Meanwhile "Devil In A Blue Dress" director Carl Franklin stepped in to finish Singletons first project.

Of course Singleton knew Tupac very well, working with him in his 1993 film “Poetic Justice.” During a 2013 interview with Essence, Singleton revealled Shakur was supposed to be "Baby Boy" in his 2001 movie.  After his murder Tyrese was given the role and the rest is history.

Now TheBoomBox reports music director/video producer, Gobi Rahimi, who worked with 2pac and Deathrow back in the ’90s, is creating a biopic as well.  However Rahimi's is said to be centered around 2Pac’s last week alive.  Peep the video below as Rahimi explains in his own words.

That said Rahimi lanched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for the sole purpose of raising money for the Tupac film.  It's being reported he's trying to raise 300,000 to $500,000 to fund the biopic entitled, 7dayz.

Check out several videos inside today's Wire post on the upcoming film, first hand info surrounding Pacs final days and more.  If all goes well, the film will premiere by the 20th anniversary of Tupac’s death.
