Blueface Charged With Felony Count of Carrying Loaded Handgun
After being arrested in early February, Blueface has formally been charged with felony gun possession after carrying a loaded handgun.
The Los Angeles District Attorney's office confirmed to XXL today (Feb. 20) that the L.A. rhymer was charged with one count of carrying a loaded handgun on one's person or in a vehicle not registered.
The charge stems from his previous arrest on Feb. 1 when police apparently showed up at a spot in downtown L.A. after they got a call about Blueface and his crew. The officers believed that the Cash Money West rapper and his entourage would be easy targets for thieves because they were wearing a lot of jewelry in an area where numerous robberies transpired. When police arrived, the 22-year-old rapper and his associates reportedly threw away their guns and tried to dip out from the scene. That's when police arrested them.
Although Blue's manager, Wack 100, asserts he's innocent, Blueface ended up spending a night in jail before he was released on $35,000 bail. This was the second time the rapper was arrested within the last year. Back in November 2018, 'Face reportedly chased down a man who robbed him at a gas station in L.A., and got into a shootout after he caught up with him. Blueface was arrested and booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
His second arrest comes after his song "Thotiana" took over the internet and sparked a slew of remixes from Cardi B, YG, Nicki Minaj and more.
