Come one, come all and celebrate the holiday season, as the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury presents “Christmas at the Courthouse.”  This is a family affair and will take place Friday December 4 at 3 p.m.  Santa and Mrs. Clause will be on hand taking FREE pictures along with their merry elf's on the courthouse lawn, located at 1001 Ryan Street, in Lake Charles.  So, be sure to dress for the occasion. Families who take holiday photos with the first family of the North Pole, can retrieve them online following the event on Facebook at facebook.com/CalcasieuParishPoliceJury.

There will also be a special inaugural ceremony in honor of the late Police Juror James Mayo, who envisioned the Historic Courthouse lit-up for the holidays.  Mayo will be honored for his for his vision, recognized for his service and celebrated for his excellence.

It's “Christmas at the Courthouse,” complete with a music performance from the John F. Kennedy Elementary School Choir at 4:45 p.m. Stick around after their show as they flip the switch to light up the Courthouse. Then wrapping up the evening’s events the Alfred M. Barbe Show Choir will close out the festivities.

For your enjoyment there will be free popcorn, refreshments and delicious hot chocolate served throughout the event.
