Chief Keef Arrested in South Dakota on Drug Possession Charges
Chief Keef can’t seem to stay out of legal trouble. The Chicago rapper was arrested in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Monday morning (June 12).
The Argus Leader reports that Sosa, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was booked at 9:21AM on charges of possessing between two ounces and a half-pounds of marijuana, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. Apparently, the arrest happened at the airport when TSA discovered two THC edibles and four blunts in Keef's luggage around 8:30AM. The rapper's attorneys are on the case.
“Our lawyers are on top of it and we are confident that the situation will be handled in a timely fashion and Keith will be released very soon,” a rep told XXL.
Keef was scheduled to perform at a show on June 11 in Sioux Falls. This is the second time the "I Don't Like" rapper was arrested this year. In early April, an arrest warrant was issued for Keef after he missed his arraignment on DUI and drug possession charges stemming from his arrest in Miami.
Then in January, Keef and his entourage was arrested for allegedly robbing and assaulting his former producer Ramsey the Great.
There's no word if Chief Keef has posted bail.
