Today in Tha Wire, it's been a few weeks since Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. The investigation is ongoing, and Kim has since filed an insurance claim on the jewels and various other items stolen in the heist. The reality star is reportedly still in shock over the ordeal and is even seeing a psychiatrist to get her mind right. Meanwhile, many questions about the robbery remain. French authorities believe the caper had the calling card of famed jewel thieves, the Pink Panther Gang. Among other things, they're trying to piece together how the thieves gained accessed to Hôtel de Pourtalès so easily. How did they know which apartment Kardashian was in? More importantly, how did they know she was alone?

For the first time, someone who was there is breaking his silence about what went down. The concierge in France is not only a caretaker of an apartment or small hotel, but in many respects is a type of security because they're responsible for the entrance of the building. Less caring for an entire property, here at home we call someone like that security. At any rate, because he's afraid for his safety, the 39-year-old father, Abdulrahman, is ready to talk.

The French doorman sat down with the Daily Mail recently and said he thinks the hotel is responsible for the robbery because, “it was No Address, no security. Nothing was locked, there was no proper security there.” He said he'd been warning them for years, stating that it was only a matter of time before someone was killed, because they always had high profile guests and they were vulnerable. Abdulrahman also said the swank hotel refused to install cameras, and has used the same door code for six years.

Folks at the Mailonline put his claim to the test and, amazingly, just weeks after the $8.5 million heist at gunpoint, they got in with the same code! See the video below.

Crazy, right? Mr. Abdulrahman says he's worked at the hotel for years and, up until now, has had an unblemished record of service. However, like Kim, he's rattled by the terrifying experience, and fears for his safety and the lives of his wife and son. He also confirmed the men were dressed like police officers, and explained how they tricked him into opening the door. See his statement below, as given to the Daily Mail:

“I was behind the desk. The door was closed, but it is glass and they told me to open the door, making a motion behind the door,” he stated. “I saw police [uniforms], the hats, also the police jackets, with reflective badges, like the police have. I told them to open it because it was open, and he asked with gestures, he made me come to open the door. So I came to open it and just when I opened it, he grabbed me and handcuffed me.”

He went on to claim, “There was no real security at all. It’s a choice. The hotel doesn’t mind about security. We told them years and years before, you have to make a camera, you have to put [in place] a security process, about keys. Nothing was locked, there was no proper security there.”

Abdulrahman told the Mail this didn't have to happen, and he is very upset with the hotel's lack of responsibility for their guests. He admitted,

“Immediately afterwards, I was very angry, and the first one I blamed was the hotel. They are responsible, I think. And I still blame them now.” He said, “I told them, ‘Look what you did! What I told you for six years?’ Security cameras and other things are meant for days like today, to prevent these things from happening. If you have good guards, electronic systems to lock the doors, it can be possible to secure the hotel.”

I think it's fair to assume the French celebrity hot spot can expect a massive lawsuit in the coming days as a result of what happened. I'll keep you posted, as always. Meanwhile, stay informed on all things entertainment with Tha Wire twice a day, and only on The People's Station 107 Jamz.
