Diana Ross demonstrated some real diva behavior last week while dining at a Beverly Hills, Calif., restaurant.

According to Page Six, the legendary singer was not having it when the owners of La Scala Restaurant told her she could not be seated at a table until her daughter arrived.

The establishment has a policy of seating full parties only. But the chart-topping entertainer escorted herself to a corner table anyway rather than waiting on the sidelines. Management confronted her and explained the policy again, but Ross refused to move. When her daughter finally arrived, the already uneasy energy escalated, and the two left.

La Scala owner Gigi Leon told Page Six: “I’m sorry that Miss Ross had a problem with that and she feels that the rules didn’t apply to her...We treat everyone the same whether you’re famous or not. We love having her as a customer. We’d be happy to have her back.”

If La Scala isn't going to give Ms. Ross the treatment she deserves, it's doubtful she'll ever return to wine and dine.
