Floyd Mayweather left the MGM Grand $32 million dollars richer after winning his bout against Marcos Maidana Saturday night.  However, there was more drama than usual surrounding this particular Mayweather fight.  For starters there was a ton of controversy over which gloves Maidana could wear.  Here's a look at why.

Mayweather and the Nevada Athletic Commission rejected Maidana's original choice of Everlast gloves, because they didn’t have enough padding in the knuckle area. Mayweather also rejected a second pair, the commission OK'd and the fighters didn’t get that settled until hours before the opening bell.  As a matter of fact, they were still arguing about the gloves after the fight.

Lil Wayne, who’s always on hand for Mayweathers fights, almost got into a fight of his own behind the scenes.

If that’s not enough, a second altercation broke out, causing some fans to be trampled in the melee.  According to reports numerous spectators fell victim of a stampede that broke out at the casino.  The Vegas Fire Department told Yahoo Sports that 20-40 people were injured in an incident that began when fans tried to leave the arena through a small passageway.

It’s being estimated that 300-400 people began rushing through the space causing others to be trampled.  The Las Vegas Sun reports an eyewitness said due to the pushing and shoving “five or six” fights broke out with Metro Police and spectators, resulting in two security guards getting injured as well.
