The USA Boxing National Championships Return to Lake Charles

The USA Boxing National Championships are scheduled to return to the Lake Charles Civic Center in December.The announcement was made on Friday, May 1. Last year, Lake Charles held the National Championships and the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team trials for Boxing.

The event was huge for the area and, according to Eric Zartler, Sales Director at Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau, "The entire community should be proud of this event coming back to Lake Charles." While the national championships return, the Olympic Trials obviously will not with the Olympics being held in 2021.

The excitement was in the air last year as 1501 Certified Entertainment Label Ceo Carl Crawford and Rap A Lot owner J Prince were in attendance. This is a great event for the city and for area businesses, including restaurants, hotels, and other business owners.
