Drake Surpasses Bruno Mars’ Billboard Hot 100 Record With ‘Nice For What’
Drake has broken many records in his illustrious career, the latest coming courtesy of one of his most recent singles, "Nice For What."
Alongside "God's Plan," Drake's latest releases have dominated the charts, and now with "Nice For What" holding strong at the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, he's broken a new record. Drake now holds the title as the male artist with the most weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 this decade, according to Chart Data.
Drake has spent 33 weeks in the top spot, knocking out previous record holder, Bruno Mars, who has 32. Drake's other big records that helped him break the record are: "One Dance” (10 weeks at #1) as well as his collaborations with Rihanna, “Work” (9 weeks) and “What’s My Name” (1 week). The only other artist with more weeks at #1 this decade is Rihanna, with 44, per Billboard.
In other Drake news, he's gearing up to release his fifth studio album, Scorpion. It'll be his first full-length project since 2016's Views. The album is set to drop in June.
