Drake has a new job working for his hometown basketball team, the Toronto Raptors. Like JayZ did for the Brooklyn Nets, Drizzy will serve as a host, business partner and consultant for the team.
The Toronto Star reports that Drake will use his celeb status to help his hometown team re-brand their image and build up a buzz. Some early ideas being shared include Drake hosting festivities and parties, launching a clothing line with the team and consulting on how best to update the Raptors’ image around its upcoming 20th anniversary.
Drake recently sat down with ESPN and said of his new J.O.B., “The real goal here is to build up the Toronto Raptors.” By the way, this new hip-hop/sports partnership kicks off today with an official announcement. It’s been a big year for Drake, find out what else he's up to below with Tha Wire.
In other news, the paparazzi are out for blood and going out of their way to push poor Kanye West’s buttons. So far, it’s working and he’s giving them a show. The rapper is still angry over the paparazzi’s intrusion outside his Cali home early Friday morning (Sept. 27). He’s already being sued by a pap photographer he scuffled with at LAX and his next court date is in a couple of weeks. The rapper is facing criminal battery and theft charges and could possibly get a year in jail if things don’t go his way. ’Ye is claiming self-defense in that altercation and has even filed a counter suite.
As for his newest problem with photography maniacs, West went ballistic outside of his home when the paparazzi swarmed around him and started asking questions about his little feud with Jimmy Kimmel.
Kanye shouted, “Shut the f—up!” West screamed at a nosy paparazzo. “Don’t say anything to me, man. Like, stop asking me questions.” It’s just a mess, I hope Kanye doesn't have a nervous break-down with all the pressure. In the meantime, listen to Tha Wire below and learn what else Kanye had to say to the Paparazzi and find out what he plans to do about their intrusion on his property.
