According to a press release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO), on the morning of March 28, the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) stopped a car traveling eastbound on I-10 for a traffic violation.
A search of the vehicle revealed 800 Ecstasy tablets stored in a Ziploc bag inside of a headphone case, which was hidden behind the vehicles trunk liner.
The driver of the vehicle, Keith D. Plaxco, 41, of Alexandria, LA, told authorities he was traveling from Houston, TX to Alexandria, LA. Suspicious behavior from the driver prompted authorities to ask permission to search the vehicle. Plaxco gave written permission to search the vehicle, said the press release.
Plaxco was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with possession of CDS I with the intent to distribute. His bond was set at $100,000.
