Don't miss the excitement this weekend Saturday March 7, 2020 at the Lake Charles Civic Center Amphitheater. Bring your family and friends out to participate and give back to those in need of important services in our community.

To match the theme of the event all participants are encouraged to come dressed like their favorite Superhero! Registration begins at 7:00 AM and the 5k run will start at 8:00 AM using Chip Timing. The Fun Walk & Roll will begin after the 5k at 9:30 AM. To make things even more exciting, team categories have been added to this year festivities.

Superhero runners and walkers of all ages are welcome! Early and online registration is $25 and the deadline is March 6, 2020. Walk-up registration the day of the event is $30. Prizes to be awarded for the best and the most creative costumes. Plus, an award will be given away for this years largest team. Medals will be presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age division, including the top female and male overall. See the Families Helping Families of SWLA Agency Fact Sheet for more details about this weekends event!

Each year thousands of area families benefit from their unique services to include; direct assistance and support from another person who has "been there".

Families Helping Families of SWLA's mission is to enable and empower individuals with disabilities and their families by providing information, referral, education, training, peer support, and advocacy skills. Their vision is that all individuals with disabilities have the opportunity to attend school, live, work, and play in their own community.
