Fat Joe Calls Remy Ma Assault Accuser a Clout Chaser
Fat Joe is standing by Remy Ma's side as she faces misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly punching her Love & Hip-Hop New York castmate, Brittney Taylor.
In an Instagram post he shared on Thursday (May 2), Joe pledged his allegiance to his longtime friend and collaborator and called Taylor a clout chaser for her accusations.
"Family First PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE beware of the CLOUT CHASE is this Country truly ready for rehabilitation, are we truly FORGIVING. Remy turned herself in on Wednesday (May 1) on a charge of misdemeanor assault stemming from the alleged assault. She posted a $1,500 bond and was released the same day.
According to Taylor, the rapper punched her backstage at a concert in New York City on April 16. Taylor told the New York Daily News that she was assaulted after Remy asked her about her involvement in an attack on Remy's stepdaughter (Papoose's daughter), Dejanae. Taylor's lawyer, Sandy Rubenstein, told News 12 the Bronx that police have gathered both evidence and testimonies from eyewitnesses that will help bring the case to a jury.
As for Remy, her lawyer says that Taylor is lying about the attack and that Remy wasn't even at the concert in question. According to her lawyer, the Bronx rapper was actually at home at the time.
For now, Remy has reportedly been hit with an order of protection, an 8 p.m. curfew, and she's not allowed to have any contact with Taylor. She may also be facing a parole violation for the incident, as she has been on parole since her release from prison in 2014 for a 2007 shooting. The case is currently being investigated by the New York State's Division of Parole, and if officials find that Remy did indeed violate her conditions, she could be facing some serious jail time.
