I Believe in Practicing What I Preach When it Comes to Health
A couple of weeks ago I did a post speaking on the importance of maintaining your stress levels. If you missed it, I believe that it would be a great read for you here. I recently took a few days off and I have to admit, I did not follow the best diet. However, the time off was relaxing and it truly alleviated any stress that I potentially had going into the vacation.
Now I am back on the home front and I am back to what I love to do. Immediately after work today I plan on hitting a track somewhere and taking in a few laps around the track to work up a sweat and build upon something that we often lack and that is Vitamin D. One thing I know is that health is a priority. In order to make this happen, you need to alter some of the ways that you have been eating. This includes cutting back on some of your alcohol intake as well. We have to take a little time for ourselves if we actually want to live a long productive life and see our kids grow up to be goal-achieving adults.
When we got off the road late yesterday, after getting a good meal and shower, I had to take a look at my Blood Pressure. Sure you can go to Walmart and get your readings. But I decided to invest in a portable machine for myself so that I know what direction I am going in. After I checked out the readings, I had to share them with all of you.
Now I have to admit that I don't always have readings like this, but this was something that I was extremely happy about. There are too many times where we base it on family curses and things when in actuality it could be us all along. Make sure to take some time for yourself and have that moment of peace if you really want to do better for yourself.
