Believe it or not, walking is the best exercise you can do.  One foot in front of another can not only save your life, but it can make you happier and help you slim down all at the same time.

This week, make it a point to begin walking.  Starting walking longer and further.  It's the single best exercise anyone can do, no matter what your physical make-up.  Walking works all your muscles and your entire body, so you can get a lot out of walking.

When you walk it also allows you to think, so it's highly recommend for mental health reasons as well.  So, park your car a little further, take the stairs more often, walk the dog, walk by yourself or walk as a family.  Just get out and do it.  There's also indoor walking tracks at all the Ward 3 Recreation Centers in Lake Charles.
