It's been four years since SWLA was hit with back-to-back natural disasters. Starting with the 2019 COVID-19 global pandemic, to the devastation left behind by two hurricanes in 2020, followed by a flood and ice storm SWLA couldn't. A lot of businesses reopened as the city did, others never came back, while some have been working to reopen.

All I can say is, I can't wait till Ball's Fried Chick-N re-opens. I am almost positive, I am not the only one too. What gives my heart joy is the picture, owner Angela Ball posted on Facebook recently!

Talk about exciting! I'm so glad that the Ball family is going to reopen their famous chicken restaurant. Not just for me, but for the community and the city itself. Ball's Fried Chick-N is a SWLA staple. They weathered the storm. Literally! They are rebuilding, and before we know it, they'll be open and taking orders again.

I hope they have a big staff for the first few weeks because everyone is going to want that delicious Ball's Fried Chick-N!
