Cheapest Gas Prices in Lake Charles This Week (July 29th)

Lake Charles, Louisiana - We are always looking for ways to help you save a little money, especially when it comes to filling up your vehicle. Each week, we take a look at gas prices around Southwest Louisiana to find some of the cheapest places to buy fuel in the Lake Charles area.

While drivers may still feel like gas prices are high, Louisiana continues to rank among the more affordable states in the country when it comes to fuel costs. According to AAA, the average price for regular unleaded gasoline in Louisiana is currently around $3.69 per gallon. That price remains lower than many states across the country, where drivers are paying much more at the pump.

Neighboring states are also seeing competitive prices, with Texas, Mississippi, and Arkansas remaining near Louisiana’s averages. Meanwhile, drivers in states like California and Hawaii are paying significantly more, with prices more than $5 per gallon in some areas.

Gas prices in the Lake Charles area are currently averaging around $3.74 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel. Prices have increased slightly compared to earlier averages but remain below the record highs drivers saw in 2022. For other fuel types, mid-grade gasoline averages about $4.19 per gallon, while premium fuel averages about $4.60 per gallon. Diesel prices are averaging about $4.93 per gallon in the Lake Charles area.
