J. Cole's inaugural Dreamville Festival was supposed to take place on Sept. 15 in Raleigh, N.C. but due to Hurricane Florence, organizers were forced to cancel the event. Now, Cole and his team have revealed the festival will take place on April 6, 2019.

The announcement was made on Friday (Sept. 21) and it was also revealed the event will serve as a benefit for victims of the hurricane in the Carolinas. "We are excited to announce Dreamville Festival will now take place April 6, 2019," a statement reads. "We are proud to say that Dreamville Fest this spring will also serve as a benefit to hurricane victims in the Carolinas."

Tickets purchased for the original September concert will be accepted at next years event. A full lineup is expected to be announced at a later time. It's uncertain if the same artists will perform next year, as this year's show was set to feature Big Sean, Nelly, Rich The Kid, Rapsody, Cozz, Saba, Omen, YBN Cordae and many more.

"We hope that fans in North Carolina and across the world will not only join in celebrating the very first Dreamville Festival, but also the resilience of this amazing community," the statement continued.

While fans will have to wait until 2019 for the Dreamville Fest, they can still catch Cole, Young Thug, Jaden Smith and EarthGang on the KOD Tour. The trek is set to continue tonight in Detroit and runs until Oct. 10 in Boston.
