Jennifer Lewis, Isn’t The Only Star Urging People To Get Out And Vote – Tha Wire

Today in Tha Wire U.S. voters have the entire world watching to see who we will pick to be our next president.  After a week of early voting, today is the final day for you to use the most powerful thing you posse in a Democratic society...your vote.  You gotta laugh to keep from crying, when you think about how bizarre this election has been. Hell this whole thing has been down-right terrifying to be totally honest.  The outcome hinges on what you do or don't do today.

Meanwhile celebrities from all walks of life have been stepping-up and using their platforms to urge people to vote.  Hip Hop once again played a major role in this years election, with everyone from Chance The Rapper, Pharrell, to Jay Z and Beyonce.  Actors like Morgan Freeman, NBA giants such as Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and many others, have all took time out to stress the importance of voting.  However...nobody's brought the message to go vote quite like legendary actress, Jenifer Lewis.

The currant star on the TV sitcom, Black-ish, used song to inspire folks to get out the vote.  The diva uploaded a video of herself to Instagram, seated at piano, dressed in purple, with purple grasses, she channelled her inner Prince and sang … get your “a$$ out and vote.”

Hey can you blame her?  Drastic times, take drastic measures.  Though it's funny as hell, her message is serious and straight to the point. We must vote!  The live and di-rect joint by Mrs. Lewis was uploaded a day ago and has since gone viral.  Today she hooked up with fellow actresses/singers Brandy and Roz Ryan to drop a remix.  Their lil' impromptu utilizes the catch phrase..."in these streets,"and gives it new meaning.
