Acton Children’s Business Fair Comes To Lake Charles : Empowering SWLA’s Young Entrepreneurs
Southwest Louisiana, don't miss a special Christmas shopping experience at the 5th annual Lake Charles Acton Children’s Business Fair, presented by Peppermint Sage Dental Wellness and sponsored by Dream Create Inspire, and JOY: An Acton Academy.
You are sure to find unique stocking stuffers and gifts with more than 60 vendors to choose from. Each is selling a variety of handmade products, arts and crafts, one-of-a-kind gifts, and a host of goodies that were created by kids. This is a one-day event taking place at the Burton Coliseum Complex (7001 Gulf Hwy) on Saturday, December 14, 2023, from 10 am - 2 p.m.
Word to the wise, get there early to get a good parking spot and first dibs at all of the booths inside. This children's business fair is wildly popular, drawing more than 900 shoppers at last year's event. Everyone is welcome as this event is free and open to the public.
WHAT IS THE CHILDREN'S BUSINESS FAIR ALL ABOUT?
This event is extra special because it's a business fair and marketplace showcasing new custom-made products and services that were created, designed, marketed, and branded entirely by children!
That's pretty darn special if you ask me. It's downright amazing. The Acton Children’s Business Fair is also the largest entrepreneurship event focused on child entrepreneurs in the country. It's a wonderful concept that inspires kids to dream and follow their aspirations to become tomorrow's leaders and successful business owners.

What are the rules?
Parents I know it's hard to resist but, you can not help. Younger children can have their parents sit in the booth with them. but that's about it. The kids are responsible for setting up their booth, customer service and interaction, conducting the sales, etc

Dream Create Inspire seeks to encourage curiosity among children by offering opportunities to explore entrepreneurship and connect through apprenticeships.
We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit working closely with Acton Academy Lake Charles and their affiliate network to bring experiences to local children in Southwest Louisiana.
