Exciting Summer Adventures For Scouts In Lake Charles!

The Boy Scouts of America Calcasieu Council is proud to announce an exciting summer adventure awaits area Scouts! Registration is now in progress for the Summer Cub Scouts Day Camp. May 30 - June 2, 2023, at St. Luke Simpson United Methodist Church (1500 Country Club Road) in Lake Charles. Not a Scout? That's no problem. Join today! The prorated membership fee is only $50.

Kids are guaranteed an exciting summer making new friends, learning great skills, and playing various activities. All Scouts will enjoy Racing Adventures, Archery, Art Projects and Scout Crafts, BB Guns, and more. Parents and guardians can meet local Troop Leaders and find a Cub Scout Pack that fits your Scout and family needs!

Summer Cub Scout Day Camp drop-off begins at 8:30 am, and camp will start at 9 am. Scouts must bring a sack lunch and at least one water bottle daily. Pick-up time is 4 pm to 4:30 pm each day.

Volunteers are always welcome! Any Troop Leader who would like to help the staff at Summer Day Camp is urged to email Jacob.Fontenot@scouting.org, and please include your T-shirt size. The Girl Scouts of Louisiana- Pines To The Gulf also have a ton of activities lined up this summer! There are several camps to choose from this year. Parents and guardians are urged to check out the 2023 GSLPG Summer Camp Guide for dates, times, and prices. Register early to secure your spot!

Not a Girl Scout? No problem. You can sign-up for the program or register as a Tagalong! Girls will be in a safe environment to meet new friends, form healthy self-esteem, explore new opportunities, discover achievable goals, and more at camp.

Older Cadettes and Ambassador level girls can work on their program Aide Pin, Counselor In Training or service to the Girl Scouting Bar. GSLPG Summer Camp will be located at Sam Houston Jones Pavilion #1 and across the park (107 Sutherland Road, Lake Charles, LA, 70611).

Snacks will be provided, but all Girl Scouts will need to bring a lunch and a water bottle. The last day to register is April 24th.

"Please note that if not paying in full with a credit card at the time of registration to hold your Girl Scouts spot, this event will require a $5 non-refundable deposit at the time of submission. All deposits must be paid by credit card."
